I’ll keep trying.

December 15, 2009

This was a challenge, having no background or experience working in any kind of media involving movement, animation or interactivity. I have never created anything in video, after effects or flash before this class. I am still in the process of understanding how these programs work, and the terminology. It is a frustrating process when nothing works out the way you want it to, or even at all, and especially under time constraint. But it forces you to jump in and try, like learning how to fly by jumping off a cliff.  I am going to need to to take my time to really absorb and practice what I have learned in order to get a grasp on the overall concept of how to navigate and make a vision or idea a reality.

Grammy Museum Musical Genres Table

October 19, 2009

This “musical genres table” was part of the Grammy Museum exhibit, which visitors can learn the origins and relationships of different genres of music literally at your fingertips. Communication arts has a movie of it. I am not sure how it was made, but it is quite impressive and beautiful. Here is a flickr page of the table.
